The Best Rainy Day Place

The Top Rainy Day Music Spot Guide

The air sound wakes up as rain hits the windows, while The Vocal Lounge’s soft amber lights and top velvet seats turn it into a shelter from the storm.

  • The sound setup uses the rain’s beat well, lifting the spot’s soft sound traits.
  • Top sound control meets classic wood walls to give best sound quality for both singers and those who come to hear.

Good Light and Stage Setup

  • Smart place lights use old-style stand lights set around close seat groups, giving just-right light for looking at music sheets while keeping the nice feel.
  • The main pro baby grand piano is in a well-planned spot, with well-set lid angle ensuring even sound goes all over the room.

Climate Control and Singer Needs

  • Pro air systems keep a perfect 72-degree show air, right air wetness to save good tools and keep voice safe.
  • The drink plan has a big tea list, with voice-helping choices like licorice root and chamomile mixes.

Our Old Sound Gear

Behind Our Old Sound Gear: A Top Sound Time

Our top sound machine is built on chosen old gear that lifts the spot’s natural sound. The machine has a 1970s McIntosh MC2105 amp paired with a Marantz 3800 preamp, giving top analog warmth you can’t get from digital. Our sound start is with the known Neumann U47 mic going through a well-fixed Neve 1073 preamp.

Vinyl Play and DJ Tools

  • We use Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables for real vinyl sound, known for top steady speed and low mess-up.
  • Live acts like our old Roland Space Echo RE-201, giving well-known tape delay effects needed for voice shows.

Open Mic Rules

Open Mic Show Rules

  • Our top sound machine has a Shure SM58 voice mic mixed with a vintage 1970s Mackie analog mixer.
  • Singers must stay 6-8 inch from the mic for best voice catch and low near sound effect.
  • Direct Input (DI) Boxes: Two ready for electrified tools
  • Condenser Mic: One for sound tools
  • Effects setup customized by style for the Old Lexicon Effects Unit

Planning ahead and following these rules ensures best sound for all shows.
